This email contains a lot of important information regarding upcoming swim meets and other swim team events so please read all the way through!

Volunteers needed: For the meet at Ashton on Saturday, July 10, we need 8 timers and one or more people to manage the tent (bring, set up, take down, and return to Little Falls).  If your son or daughter is swimming in this meet, we need you to volunteer.  Please sign up through www.signupgenius.com or contact Kathy Pirri (amfai95@yahoo.com) if you can time or Susan Scribner (team@littlefallspenguins.com) if you can help with the tent.

Little Falls vs. Norbeck Hills: Penguins won decisively against Norbeck Hills at home this past Saturday, 461 to 316.  Congratulations to all the swimmers and thank you to the many parents that volunteered.  Results  have been posted on the website.

B meet at home against Mohican: Wednesday, July 7 is the next B meet.  Swimmers need to be at the pool at 5:00 to warm-up.  There is no afternoon practice on Wednesday because of the meet.

Team breakfast, Thursday, July 8, following morning practice: The tradition of team breakfast continues!  After morning practice on Thursday, swimmers will be treated to breakfast poolside!  11 and overs eat at 9:30, and 10 and unders eat at 10:30.  Development swimmers are welcome to join at 10:30 too.

A meet at Ashton, July 10: The next A meet is away against Ashton.  Respond to the Eventbrite invitation to let us know if you are or are not available.  There is an option to respond “no”, so please take the time to let us know if your swimmer is not available.  Check-in at Little Falls will be at 7:30 Saturday morning.  Directions to Ashton can be found on the team website.

Relay Carnival at NCC, July 11: Relay Carnival is at North Chevy Chase on Sunday.  Please respond to the Eventbrite invitation that will be sent soon, so we know if your swimmer is available.  Coaches will prepare the line-up on Saturday afternoon, and it will be posted at the pool by 3:00pm.  For swimmers selected for relay carnival, there will be a brief relay take-off practice from 5:00 to 5:30pm Saturday.  All relay swimmers are expected to attend this practice.  Please notify the coaches if you will not be available.

Beach trip, July 19: The annual beach trip is Monday, July 19.  You will receive an invitation from Eventbrite to register for the beach trip.  All swimmers, divers, and their chaperones can register for a seat (children 12 and under must have a chaperone).  Seating is limited, so register early.  Until July 12, only swim and dive team members can register.  Starting July 12, friends can register too.
